words inside me waking up, shaking off to
tumble velvet along my tongue...
the sigh and shake of you, the secret
ache of you to draw them out and
make them dance, tremble and shiver,
come tripping up to the gates of my teeth
and hang there, all aquiver, then
fling their arms about each other in sudden,
delicious panic--flee!
back into the hidden safety of my heart
leaving just a glimmer in green gold eyes
