Note to self and others: An artistic and creative soul does not have to be damaged in order to create. And be wary of falling in love with wounded birds: it might be lovely to nurse them, but inevitably, one of two things happens. Healed, the bird will fly away. But sometimes, even if it seems that the bird is on the mend, it sometimes happens that such a creature will rip itself to shreds... who can ever know why. Better to seek out handsome, whole-bodied creatures who come to you of their own free will, without ever asking you to fix, or mend. Without ever evoking in you the desire to heal, but rather... simple desire. the desire to laugh with, to love with, to race in and out of the window, always returning, always calling, come with me.

by all means, heal what you can when you find the strays fallen into your yard. but do not grow too attached to them. it is a rare thing when such a creature stays.
